In cooperation among Rezekne Higher Education Institution, Vytautas Magnus University and Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Latvia a project "HipiLatLit" ("Development of Research Infrastructure for Education in the Humanities in Eastern Latvia, Lithuania") was implemented. That was financed by Latvia–Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007–2013.

Project "HipiLatLit" main benefits:

1. Special Latgalian corpus (1 million running words);

2. Latvian-Lithuanian-Latvian Parallel corpus (8 millions running words);

3. Lithuanian-Latvian-Latgalian dictionary (10 thousand words);

4. Interdisciplinary doctoral study programme in Baltistics.

5. Modulus of computational linguistics for philology masters' students in Rezekne Higher Education Institution.

The total project budget is 395 758,00 EUR, of them ERDF co-financing is 336 394,30 EUR and 59 363,70 EUR national financing.
